Description

Netherland Dwarf - Small - Senior - Female - Rabbit - Emily

Emily is six years old. She has had a bond mate in the past and prefers males who are much larger than her, she has spurned and even been rather mean to small males who are her size or just a little bigger. Emily belonged to a family who moved all the way to Maryland from Utah and brought her with them. But then when faced with another moved to Arizona, they let her down and took her to the animal shelter. She is six years old now. She has been well taken care of and obviously was given loving attention because she is sweet and gentle, loves human company, and her fur is soft and shiny. Emily is a chinchilla Netherland Dwarf. She is small, only about two and a half pounds. She likes to sit next to you about eye level and have you pet her. She will gaze at you sweetly until the idea of giving her a special treat pops into your head. Then she will daintily and appreciatively accept it. She is a refined lady who enjoys her surroundings and always finds something to be grateful for. She spent a long time in the shelter and handled that stress pretty well. She is ready to hop and dance around your living room with you. She likes soft music, maybe Celtic or country. She does not like humans who are bad singers as her fright at her foster mom's voice shows. But if she hears nature CDs or many kinds of music, she listens with delight. Like most bunny's ears do, her ears move all over the place in a reaction to the music. She also enjoys chick flicks and even science fiction and a little action. She would love to hang out next to you in bed or lying on the sofa while you watch TV or read. She's a lady of high refinement, as previously mentioned, and urban is her preferred lifestyle. She is not a huge fan of young children so she would really rather be around adults and some special pre-adolescent adults. However, she is used to being the pet of a responsible, compassionate adult who recognizes her a member of the family. They probably just couldn't handle the stress of coordinating another move with her. So she should live with a nice family who, if they have to move, put bringing everyone with them as a high priority. Emily would be such a fantastic companion for a stable, single person, older couple, retired couple, childless family, or very stable family with older children who will always come home, when they're older and have moved out, and eagerly anticipate seeing their old friend again. Just like they would, perhaps, if they were coming home to their mom or dad's little dog whom the whole family carries photos of in their wallets. That's the family for little Emily. Is it yours? Emily is special needs because she has some allergies. Oddly, some rabbits can be allergic to hay yet it is the most important part of their diet. So she needs an understanding owner who will not mind her occasional sneeze, not a lot, but sometimes with production. And to keep an eye on her that it doesn't turn into a sinus infection like some allergy sufferers get. To adopt Emily, please fill out our application and we will call contatct you within 48 hours. ADOPTION FEE: females - $95.00. Thanks for reading. If you have children under the age of 8, please read THIS before applying to adopt this rabbit. Thank you.
