First of all- my apologies to anyone I didn't get back to last week. I got sick, and was asleep for most of it (the week that is), and (as I'm on the hunt for a bike myself) know what a pain it can be waiting to hear back about a bike.


1980 Honda CB750F with 16,830 miles on it.

The bike is just too big and heavy for me (I'm 5'7, and weigh like a buck 35- this bike is notoriously large). I have the title and keys, the engine turns over, and the bike comes with brand new side panels (not shown in pictures).

The bike definitely still has some work to be done.
Here's what I know of its life story: The bike was last inspected/running in '99. I (with a lot of help...I think the house may have been built around the bike) rescued it from a basement where it had been since then.

I was taking it on as a project and basically stopped after I had to accept that it would be kind of problematic to have a bike that I needed help lifting of it's side/center stand. I didn't want to keep on moving with a project I wasn't gonna keep (especially because everyone has their own preferences e.g. I would put cannon filters on, but someone else might do a single etc.) I've been working on it at a shop in NE, so I think I have a decent handle on the diagnostics.

It did not have the keys when I got it, so I've installed a new ignition (works great), and did a carb rebuild (have the Haynes manual that goes with it). We got it running with the gas tank of another 750 on, and a different battery attached, at which point we realized the float levels on the carbs still need to be adjusted.

The rest of the work is what you would expect with a bike sitting/of that age: the filter, and battery need to be replaced, the tank has some serious rust-busting to be done, the tires have decent tread, but I would replace them at this age etc.
