Description
Silver is a nine year old Jack Russell/Beagle mix but dont let his age fool you. This little man is no where near slowing down (what is nine in dog years?) He has a little gray around his mouth but that is all. He is vetted including having been neutered. Silvers previous owner was forced to make the painful heartbreaking decision to re-home him after she began to suffer the affects of a bad economy and felt it would be in best interest of all if she were to begin to down size her canine family (Silver was one of three). Silver has had only one owner and she tearfully surrendered this wonderful little guy after having had him since birth. She shared wonderful stories with RPO about her years with Silver and wishes to know when he has been adopted. She contacts RPO frequently to check on her former companion to see how he is getting along. It is her strong desire that he spend the rest of his days (and he probably has many left) with a family who will love and care for him, the way she has done since the day he was born. She states that Silver LOVES to sing with the harmonica, the tips of his ears curl when he gets excited and he likes to swim. He is allergic to fleas so its imperative that particularly during the summer months, he gets bathed weekly or bi weekly. He has no medical issues that she is aware of. He gets along with cats and gets along well with other dogs. He is small probably about 20 pounds and is very very sweet. OF COURSE he could fit into any size human bed comfortably. We would recommend a home with older children who would be able run and play with him and we would also recommend a home with a fenced yard that Silver could be free to romp and play and of course EXPLORE as only Beagles and/or Beagle mixes can. We would also consider a foster to adopt home for Silver as we have very limited space for both felines and canines at this time and we strongly desire to continue efforts to help other foreclosure and/or unforeseeable circumstance companions in need. If interested in fostering and/or foster to adopt, please consider Silver. Home evaluations are required and a two week trial period is mandatory before any adoption is finalized in order to ensure the pet is the perfect match for any potential forever family.
