Hound - Large - Adult - Male - Dog - Luper
I still really need a home. I'm just a sweet pup who likes to lay around and get pets - unless you have a treat, then I'm a STAR!. If this sounds like your house, just ask for me! Hi!! My name is Luper, but my foster mom and dad usually call me Lupe-De-Lupe! I love to run outside, especially with other puppies. I do well with other dogs, big and small. I'm a little wary of the tiny dogs, but I'm still nice to them. My arthritis has gotten a lot better! I still eat my Hills Prescription Diet, J/D, and I take Tramadol to help some of the discomfort go away. I especially like it when my pills are put into a piece of bread or cheese. Those are gone before Mom and Dad can put my bowl down. I'm also started being able to get up on my hind legs and let you know that I'm REALLY excited to eat. I love getting attention! I don't get on the furniture, although I would be allowed to. I prefer to stand next to you and patiently wait for you to pet me. I can even catch some treats if you throw them in the air. Whenever I come inside nicely, I know I'm going to get a treat, so I will walk sideways in front of you, just so you don't forget I am there! We're still working on me going in the car. They still scare me a little bit, and car rides make my stomach feel a little bit funny sometimes. It's okay because then I get the house to myself. I like laying around on the dog beds. Don't worry though, I'll greet you at the door! I know when your car door shuts and I race to the door. I really want a place to call my forever home. I like it her, but there's the Great Dane mix and the coonhound want to play ALL the time, and sometimes I want to sleep! I like to be outside, so if there is someone who wants to take me for walks, Ill be totally for it! We've been going jogging, and I do okay for awhile on the pavement, but then my legs start to hurt and I like to run on the grass instead. I'm a great walking partner - you have to virtually never correct me on my leash! Please contact my adoption coordinator if you want to meet me. You wont regret it, I promise!! I will come with the rest of my bag of the food they give me, my Frontline, my Heartgard, my bowl, and a bottle of Cosequin, just in case =) Hurry up and e-mail Rebecca - what are you waiting for?
