Tabby - Orange - Medium - Baby - Male - Cat - Scruffy

Scurffy is not available through FFRNN; please contact his foster parents listed below. A cat found us last Thursday (7 Aug). He (we named in Scruffy) had apparently been lost or abandon and found himself fending for himself for some time. He had an animal bite on his back, thin to the bones and matted with enormous amounts of fleas and ticks. But he knew where to come. We have 3 other cats with similar stories. We couldn't turn away Scruffy as you may have noted from our past visitors. He has apparently had a rough beginning in life and we want to ensure he gets a good home and love he deserves. We had taken him to the Eagle's Nest Animal Hospital in King George (775-6800) on the 8th for a wellness exam and treatment for the animal bite. He was found in good health but needed some extra care. His wound is healing, he was given a rabies vaccination and a good dose of penicillin medication. He was checked for Feline Leukemia and found negative, given medication for worms and a follow up dose we gave him two days later. Frontline was also given to him for the fleas and ticks which has been an enormous comfort for him (and us). He was given a full bill of health and we were told that he could interact with our other feline friend without any problems; and he has. The Vet has given him a birthday of 4/3/09. He's been with us now a week just eating up a storm and keeping us occupied on the back porch when we get home. However, we feel he needs to be given a new home where he will be further loved and taken care of since we already have three cats. We are not part of the FFRNN but just caring individuals that want our fine feline friends to enjoy their lives and are looking for someone to take Scruffy and provide him the love and nurturing that they all need. We have another appointment at the Vet this coming Friday to have him rechecked as well as being provided a Distemper shot. If you are interested in having him, please let us know.
