Description
Can't adopt but want to help? Please contact LoisLHT@yahoo.com to find out about sponsorship, fostering, and other ways you can help this cat! Please note that financial sponsorship will be applied to the specific cat you indicate unless it is not needed, at which time we will let you designate it for another HT animal of your choice. You can save animals like this by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats before they are euthanized at the shelters, so that they have more time to find a permanent family. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please click here and email the questionnaire to fostercat@homewardtrails.org.Dora is a very pretty little 1 year old female brown tabby. She and her sister Gyro were picked up as strays and brought to a rural VA shelter. Lucky for them, Homeward Trails was able to rescue them! These beautiful, sweet girls are spayed and up to date on their shots. Dora and Gyro are now looking for their forever home and hope to find it soon. This description is from Dora & Gyro's foster mom: Dora was named for Dora the Explorer by her foster mom's 3-year old neighbor Gracie. Dora greets me at the door whenever I come home, and snuggles with me in bed at night. She loves to jump 3 feet into the air to chase toys, and is a great pal to her sister Gryo. She is gentle and sweet and loving. She always comes out to say hello when I have company. She greets me in the mornings but is very considerate and waits for the alarm to ring before coming to play on my bed. Dora gets along wonderfully with the resident 4 year old cat, and also did great with the resident guinea pigs. If you'd like to learn more about Dora, please contact LoisLHT@yahoo.com Gender: Female Approximate age: 1 yr old Location: VA foster home Declawed: No Coat Type: short Personality: sweet and playful The adoption fee for this cat is $100, or $150 for the pair--Dora & Gyro, which covers the cost of routine vet care, as well as spay/neuter surgery.
