Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Ability to effectively manage a large dining room and kitchen that employs a large and diverse group of employees. * A minimum of five years food service management experience required, including production, service and sanitation. * A B.S. degree in Restaurant Management, Dietetics or Institutional Management may be substituted for up to 1 year experience. College Degree in Restaurant Management preferred, but not required. * Interested candidates need to submit cover letter, resume, and salary history for consideration. Responsibilities Manages all aspects of meal time service and the overall efficiency of the Dining Room, Cafe and catering. Responsible for overall supervision of all Dining Room Staff, Utility Staff, Production Staff and Team leaders (including training, evaluating and disciplining). Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: * Supervises the overall efficiency of dining room operations. * Supervises the operation of the cafe. * Supervises, schedules, evaluates, trains,hires, and provides training/development for front-of-house and back-of-house staff. * Supervises organization and sanitation of dining rooms, kitchens, storage areas, loading docks, and elevators. * Ensures proper portioning of foods and attractive plate presentation by servers. * Ensure the proper opening and closing of food service preparation. * Manages the food service operation within budgetary perimeters. * Ensures that all services and programs are in compliance with federal, state and/or local laws and statutes. * Shows professional knowledge, proficiency and initiative in achieving goals and meeting standards. * Is willing and able to cultivate a caring and passionate team. * Demonstrates effective and respectful leadership. * Understands the importance of and is able to deliver exceptional customer service. * Holds self and others accountable for excellence. * Demonstrates and promotes an optimal quality of life.
