Off the Record: The Private Papers of Harry S. Truman, edited by Robert H. Ferrell (copyright 1980). This edition (copyright 1989) is part of the Library of the Presidents series from Easton Press. This book, which is currently not available from the publisher, is in excellent condition.

Easton Press volumes are among the most beautiful and durable books available today. Each volume is bound in genuine leather with a hubbed spine and accented with 22-karat gold, and printed on acid-neutral paper. The Smyth-sewn pages have gilded edges and are complemented by a sewn-in satin ribbon page marker and distinctive endleaves

This book contains the private papers of Harry S. Truman, in and out of the White House, beginning in 1945 and ending in November 1971, a few months before Truman died. The private papers consist of three major groupings: diary entries, memoranda, and letters. Also included in the volume are numerous photographs dating from 1911 through 1969.
