Breaking into Commercial Voice-Overs

Have you ever been told you that you have a great voice? On Monday, September 22, First Class, Inc. will offer a seminar entitled "Getting Paid to Talk: An Intro to Professional Voice-Overs" from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at 1726 20th St., N.W.

This exciting class will explore numerous aspects of voice-over work for television, film, radio, books-on-tape, documentaries and the Internet! We will cover all the basics including: how to prepare the all-important demo, how to be successful and earn great income in this exciting field. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and to hear examples of professional voice-over recordings. Class participants will even have a chance to record a commercial script under the direction of our producer!

David Bourgeois is the CEO of Creative Voice Development Group (CVDG), one of the largest voice-over training organizations in the United States. By drawing on his experience with CVDG and as a recording studio owner, music composer and producer, David can offer students extremely realistic and detailed perspective of the professional voice field.
