Beautiful Primitive Antique Pie Safe, Jelly Cabinet
This came from an estate in CT, passed down in my family when my late husband passed away......
I'm not sure of the date, but I'm guessing it could be 1900-1940's, could be earlier but not sure------the colors are original, with just a light waxing from time to time, and is perfect for SOUTHWESTERN DECORATING..............
Dark Red, Turquoise GreenBlue...........the picture is a bit more washed out than in real life---the colors are very rich looking in person........
The sides are authentic punched tin---rusted naturally............
Inside are 6 shelves, with wear marks in front---I've had them covered in plain brown paper to store my dishware.......
There is NO ROT, good condition, included are pictures of the back of cabinet---there are 2 small "natural" mouse holes in the bottom back of the cabinet--I think they only enhance it's history....
I've had it in my kitchen area as a focal piece, storing extra dishes------The style fits well with Modern, Country, Southwestern. and the natural paint colors go well with any color scheme......it's a really good looking cabinet and well taken care of----very clean......!!.....
