Job Responsibilities
Manage the Accounting department with emphasis on:
Accurate recording of transactions, GAAP compliant in a SOX environment and driving timely monthly closings.
Governmental compliance in line with the Company?s Disclosure statement, FARS, CAS, etc.
Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements, filing appropriate documents with regulatory and oversight bodies.
Assistance during quarterly, annual and other audits.
Ensure compliance and propriety of expenses in accordance with policy.
Assist with new implementation of SAP and drive process change in line with SAP requirements. Lead the department in automating current manual processes and reporting.
Update accounting policies and procedures as required. Identify processes that will continue to improve internal controls.
Work closely with Corporate Shared Services function.



Manage the Billing and Revenue Recognition Departments with emphasis on:
Monthly invoicing in compliance with Government Contracts and other State and local government entities.
Driving Collections and ongoing improvement in DSO?s.
Cash inflow forecasting.
Revenue recognition.
New customer intake process.

Manage Financial Systems, with focus on the financial needs relating to the new SAP implementation and the ongoing financial improvements required post implementation.

Perform cash flow management, project cash inflows and out flows.

Assist with monitoring the operational, financial, strategic objectives and commitments of the Company.

Develop and perform ad hoc analysis to support new Accounting processes, policies and procedures.

Assist in monitoring performance targets, report performance and ensure reporting to all employees and businesses.

Assist with planning and forecasting requirements, including target setting during annual budget cycle, quarterly forecasts and strategic review.

Assist CFO in identifying financial & operational initiatives as ?best practices? to drive financial performance in the Company.

Provides coaching and training to staff of 30.


Candidate Qualifications
CPA required, MBA a plus.

+15 years experience in accounting and financial planning, including +8 years experience in an environment with Governmental and regulatory compliance requirements.

Experience managing senior Managers.

Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations, Federal Contracts and DCAA audits.

Proficient in operating as a financial and collaborative partner with executive level, field staff and external clients.

A proactive collaborator with a flexible style, who is willing to get their hands dirty and pitch in to manage general operations.

A strong analytical thinker and proven problem solver.
Passionate about providing quality client services and guidance.
