Job Responsibilities
Lead and/or coordinate the generation, negotiation and execution of contractual commitments for the Army IT Sector.
· Ensure that such commitments are made in adherence to company and government policies and regulations.
· Provide consultation and support to operational managers and other functional support teams ) regarding contractual aspects of on-going programs.
· Possess advanced professional expertise of principals, theories and concepts in contract administration plus broad and thorough knowledge of related fields.
· Supervise the activity of entry to mid-level contract professionals in review and preparation of routine contract documents in accordance with corporate policy.
· Review complex solicitations and prepare specialized and/or non-routine response for proposals, bids, and contract modifications.
· Train and mentor subordinate contract professionals to assume more complex contract activity.
· Analyze significant, and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and business unit procedure and communicates results to subordinates.
· Support line and executive managers in reviewing and addressing non-routine contract regulation issues and risks.
· Maintain contract files consistent with government and company requirements.
· Monitor existing contracts in regard to cost, funding, change.
· Maintain working knowledge of governing procurement regulations.
· Generally be aware and on-top of and otherwise possess ownership of all contractual and proposal activities within assigned areas.
· Interface with contract subordinates, line management teams, program managers, customer/supplier legal department, mid-to senior level corporate management.
Candidate Qualifications
Requires BS/BA degree.
Requires 8-10 years experience
